causes of autism

While there is no single cause of autism, research has uncovered some of the components that are believed to be key contributors. Some of the widely held theories as to the causes of autism include: hereditary complications, genetics and other medical problems. Autism is characterized differences in brain shape and structure.

There is no one gene that is the culprit, but research is currently being conducted to find segments of code that may contribute to the disease. Researchers are also investigating pregnancy and environmental factors, such as metabolic imbalances and exposure to certain chemicals.

chelation

Today people will do just about anything to remove toxins from their bodies. From juice fasts to colon therapy-people are tired of feeling the sluggishness and sickness that accompanies toxins built up in the system. Chelation is another, less common, way to remove toxins from the body.

Chelation therapy works by intravenously infusing the chemical disodium EDTA into the body. This chemical binds to metallic ions in the body and allows them to be excreted. Some research has suggested that chelation dissolves the calcium in arterial plaque and reduces hardening of the arteries and other circulatory problems.

Autism is a brain development disorder that causes the person affected to repeat actions and impairs social interaction. Autism is differentiated from Autism Spectral Disorders (ASD) that has certain of the same symptoms but to lesser degrees, such as Aspergers Syndrome. The signs of autism may not be completely present until later in the child’s life.

Often in the past, autism was misdiagnosed as another illness, but the science behind autism has become more complete, which has increase education and led to advances in autism therapy. The signs that a child has autism spectrum disorder (ASD), however, are usually present before the age of three, at which time proper counseling and help is available for the parent.

Mercury Poisoning Basics

effects of mercury poisoning

Most of us are aware that there are a myriad of health concerns and negative effects of mercury poisoning. For years mercury was a common substance in household items, such as thermometers, but due to health risks, that is simply not the case anymore. Today, most Americans get the majority of their exposure to mercury from fish and shellfish.

There are several factors that determine how much of a risk any particular exposure to mercury is. One of the biggest of these is the chemical form. Mercury comes in three forms—methyl mercury, elemental mercury, and organic compounds—all of which have different risks. The size of the dose, age of the person, and nature of the exposure, all have an impact on the severity as well.

Autism is a neurological abnormality and its cause is unknown, but some research has suggested that autism may be connected to a freak gene combination. Other findings show that autism may be linked to underlying health conditions. Metabolic disorders, genetic disorders, developmental brain abnormalities and neurological disorders may not cause autism, but they can increase the likelihood of it.

In the past some theories related to the possible causes of autism have been refuted. Past studies have claimed that emotional trauma at an early age and bad parenting could be to blame. This study was deemed inaccurate by the scientific community. Autism health is a tricky question, but current autism research in the area is working towards explaining the mysterious origins of autism.

There are many misconceptions about autism. First, some people believe that those who suffer from autism can’t express emotion, don’t smile or laugh, won’t make eye contact and never show affection. These are all myths, but unfortunately the majority of Americans aren’t educated about autism or autism therapy. Autistic people do however; suffer from impaired communication skills that may include; delay in speaking, trouble expressing needs and wants, repeating words or phrases, and inability to sustain conversation.

Behavioral therapy can help improve the communication skills of those who suffer from autism. The basis of this therapy is to reinforce desired behavior and remove unwanted behavior. A person is more likely to repeat behaviors that they are rewarded for. Learning more about autism therapy can help people gain a better understanding of autism.

As technology continues to advance at breakneck speeds, it seems that we are discovering more and more about diseases and their causes everyday. This week there is new autism news that may help explain the cause of the disease in some children. The findings come from researchers at John Hopkins University.

The study published in the December issue of American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology reports that commonly prescribed beta 2 drugs—those used to treat asthma and pre-term labor in mothers—may increase the chance of autism and other cognitive problems in children. The researchers suggest that the use of these drugs should be limited as much as possible during pregnancy. They also noted that further investigation would be needed to produce specific guidelines for the medications.

Candida refers to a genus of yeasts that are present in all of us. For the most part, Candida is a perfectly natural substance in our body. Some species, however, do have the potential to cause disease or infections. Scientists have been able to successfully reconstruct the entire Candida genome sequence, allowing for more in-depth research.

One of the best ways to avoid the potential risks of certain Candida yeasts is with a cleansing product. Candida cleanse will help regulate the Candida in your system, especially prior to heavy metal detox. When performing a Candida cleanse, it is important to not drink tap water or eat high carbohydrate foods, as they could interfere with the process
