Autism is something that recently has been increasing in the public eye, which is a good thing because it’s important for people to be more aware of autism spectrum disorder. It is now said that one in eighty-eight children is diagnosed with autism, so there are many, many parents each day that are finding out that autism is now part of their lives.

Many people with autism or with loved ones who suffer from autism recognize April as Autism Awareness Month. There is even a ribbon used to raise awareness of autism, the Autism Awareness Puzzle Ribbon, which is worn on shirts or placed on cars and other places to show support of people who have autism.
